BROWNSVILLE, Tenn.—More people are at work in Haywood County—perhaps than ever.

It’s the same story across Tennessee.

Tennessee’s Department of Workforce Development says only 5.1% of Haywood County’s workers don’t have jobs— that’s about 400 people.

Haywood County’s workforce includes 7,750 people according to state statisticians.

Tennessee’s unemployment rate for April decreased in all 95 counties, according to data just released.

Seventy-four of the counties boasted an unemployment rate of less than 5%, while 21 counties had a rate greater than 5% but less than 10%.
