BROWNSVILLE, Tenn.—They were never ordered parked, but Haywood County’s ambulances came under scrutiny more than a week ago when inspectors from the Tennessee Department of Health conducted a surprise inspection. They’re OK now, according to Ambulance Director David Smith.
Inspectors made several notes that required immediate correction. Smith had the five problems remedied within a couple of days. The inspectors returned this week and gave the trucks a clean bill of health, according to the director.
